La Plush

French artist and etsy seller La Pomme has a lovely collection of beautifully hand sewn soft objects. With such a wide selection of objects, her charming little shop is the perfect stop for the big and little kid. How perfect would those heart shaped satchels be as a wedding favor?

She also has a fairy tale inspired shop that is worth more than a gander...

Strong Femininity

I am a little bit obsessed with the jewelry of Carla Nuis. The handcrafted simplicity and ornamentation of her designs is delicate yet strong, such a beautiful balance.

A Farmer's Wedding

I couldn't resist posting these farmer's wedding I came across in the NY Times this past week. Both the bride and groom are extremely passionate about farming both personally and professionally and their wedding was a beautiful reflection of that. All of the decor and food throughout their celebration was from local markets, and the ceremony took place at one of my favorite places on earth, Stone Barns in Tarrytown, NY. All of the details came across as incredibly thoughtful, simple and casual, and not overpowering which at the end of the day, is the kind of wedding I would love to attend.

Color Coded Flowers

The mix of colored floral combinations at Tapestry Flowers makes it extremely useful and convenient to navigate through their website. They have some really beautiful floral arrangements; I especially love the lavender arrangement with pops of cobalt blue, a colorway that I am a little obsessed with right now...

H is for Hannah

H is for Hannah has a cute line of trompe l'oeil dinnerware for all of you jewelry fanatics. A set or even just the cup/vase would make a great gift!

Lovely Nostalgia

The embroidery work of Karen Ruane is delicately beautiful and lovingly nostalgic. I would love to buy a series of her embroidered pictures and have them floating in a vintage frame.

Lisa Levine has always created the most original and striking jewelry, and sadly her lovely little shop in Williamsburg is closing Sept. 26th. If you are in the area, be sure to stop by and pick up one of her creative little designs.

Sweet Little Notes

I love this brilliant little idea from Inchmark. She keeps a jar on her desk and jots down all of the funny things her kids say throughout the day. What a great way to record those special little moments!

Show stopping, jaw dropping, extremely high fashion bridal gowns from French Vogue. Can you imagine wearing a piece of art like this?!? I think my favorite is the 2nd to last Givenchy gown, how perfect would this be for a winter wedding?

Paris? Anyone?

Hey there everyone! I am going to Paris for a few days in November and would love to find out if any of you know of cool or must go to places or shops that I won't find in any of the travel books or websites? If you know of anything, please pass it on by leaving a comment or sending me an email. Thank you so much!

Louis Campbell

These Cammeo ceramic canisters are such a simple idea executed beautifully. The same goes for her desktop collection, Homework. Simple shapes with functioning pops of color. I have been obsessed with the work of Louise Campbell for years now, and thankfully she just keeps making more and more brilliant product!

Her Elements dinnerware collection for Royal Copenhagen is full of gorgeous shapes with perfectly placed and colored illustrations. If you aren't into the color you also have the option to buy the collection in solid white. Oh how I wish I would have registered for this collection!

Things to do

Etsy's Handmade Cavalcade is a great excuse to escape the city and head out to Beacon, NY this Saturday, September 13th. A group of Etsy sellers will be setting up shop during Beacon's Art Walk and will be selling an array of handmade items. Great art and hand crafted items, what better way to spend your weekend?

{fubabee}

If you are in NYC for the weekend, be sure to check out Target's Bullseye Bodegas, there are 4 locations throughout the city from now until Monday. You have the chance buy items from their new designers John Derian, Sigerson Morrison and many more before the rest of the country can!

As many of you know Megan Whitmarsh is one of my favorite artists and she is coming out with a book showcasing all of her embroidery work this November. It is a limited edition book of 500, so if you want one, pre-order one now, it is around $43, I just ordered one! The book is 160 pages of full color gorgeousness.
