Monogrammed Love

Recently I was in an Anthropologie store and as always I left inspired and my pockets were a little lighter. What I have been most impressed with lately is there abundance of monogrammed items. I saw these monogrammed soap dish sets and they are gorgeous. There are a lot of places that do monogrammed items and often they lack personality, but Anthropologie has really taken it to the next level.

On the home front, Jonathan Adler has a fun selection of monogrammed letter pillows, how perfect would these be as a gift for a couple, their two initials and an ampersand or even personalized for your wedding party?

Colorful, Creative Favors

I love the idea of having these mini-colored pencils used as favors at a wedding. How cute would it be to put your label on top of theirs? With a little a pad of paper, possibly monogramed, it would be the perfect favor set! Who said only the kids get to have fun coloring at weddings?

The Sanctity of Marriage

This American Life is my all time favorite show to listen to, lately it has taken over my life as I listen to episodes all day long while working on the computer. This particular episode "The Sanctity of Marriage" is a great listen, and relevant to all of us, whether we are married or not.

Upgrade Your Milk Jar

I am obsessed with these engraved and gilded milk jars by Thomas Kral. I have always loved flower arrangements set in vintage milk jars, but these gilded ones bring them to a whole-nother level.

The Perfect Evening Dress

This past weekend I went to a wedding after party and the bride was wearing this dress from Dior. Lately I have been obsessed with short wedding dresses and this one was just perfect, especially for an evening wedding.

A great idea...

The offsite wedding after party is such a good idea if you want to have a really small wedding and reception or can't afford to invite all of your friends. It is a total win win situation, you get to spend quality time with all of your family, and then continue to celebrate with all of your friends after the dinner!

Note to Self: Passport

Just a little heads up for all of you that will change your name on your passport...

A few weeks ago I changed my name on my passport and had to get it expedited. When I applied I had to send in my official marriage license and birth certificate. I was worried about sending in original copies, but because I am leaving for a trip in early November I didn't want to slow down the process by sending in a copy, just in case they didn't accept it. So I went for the 14 day expedite, it arrived no more than four days later (which I was so happy about). But to my horror, they only sent the passport and not my marriage license or b.c. which I became very paranoid about! But then I read that they send the documents separate from your passport, and about a week later I received them both, thankfully! I was a bit nervous as you can imagine. If you only have one marriage license and birth certificate, prior to applying for your new passport I would apply for official copies to ease your mind and send in those. Luckily, everything worked out for me, but it wasn't fun to worry throughout the week about possibly not getting them back!!!! Just thought I would share my little experience with you all.

Adorable Placecard Holder / Favor

I love Susy Jack's paper goods, they are so fresh and modern. These new jumbo desk clips are sooooo cute, how great would they be as a place card holder/favor or even a number stand???

Have a wonderful weekend everyone!!!

A Lovely Church

This past weekend I attended Anne's wedding, which was beautiful in every way. One of the things that I was most impressed with was the beautiful church they had chosen to get married in. This particular church isn't the church that Anne & Tom got married in, but a wedding that One Love Photo shot, and the structure and photos are quite breathtaking. I think there is such beauty in getting married in a place that has such a deep sense of history as well as all of the lovely personal memories that you will soon share with your husband.
