Neuarmy

While browsing through one of my favorite art blogs, Dear Ada, I saw these beautifully composed letters by Neuarmy that get me so excited for warm Spring weather. How perfect would these be to incorporate into a monogram?

Spring Favor Idea

I came across this cute little favor idea at Favors by Lisa. Such a cute little way to incorporate the ever so popular Jordan Almonds or any candy for that matter onto a place setting.

Fresh Bouquets from NY Weddings

Flowers of the World

The most recent New York Weddings is a wonderful read. I just had to share some of my favorite bouquets featured in the issue. I absolutely love when designers incorporate fresh fruit into a bouquet like the top one from Takashimaya with the fresh raspberries and I had never seen tea herbs in a bouquet like the daisies with fresh chamomile by the Designer's Co-op, which happens to be my favorite type of tea. Something of which I have been drinking a lot of recently to help me get over my early Spring cold.

Our Cake Topper!

I am so excited to show you our custom made cake topper by Jennifer Murphy! I contacted Jen last summer to make this, I have always loved her vintage inspired animals, so I couldn't have been happier to have her be a part of our wedding. Over the past couple of months I have been talking to her about what I wanted it to look like, colors, inspiration, her sketches, etc., and she has surpassed every notion of what I thought it was going to be with complete brilliance! I can't get over how cute the groom's trousers are and the little bride is just too much. I am totally in love with this little object, I can't wait for it to be on our cake with all of the other little bits and bobs. I will be sure to show you pics of the cake from our wedding! What I love most about this is it will be with us forever! Jen is so incredibly talented!

taking a break this week

I have decided to take a break from blogging this week, we have 54 days left until the wedding and I have a lot of wedding things to take care of. Surprisingly, I haven't been that stressed, but it will be good to just focus this week and get a lot done. The biggest thing is paperwork and now going in to fine tune all of the little details. As the wedding draws near, the more and more excited I get! The response cards have slowly been trickling in, and a lot more people are coming to our wedding in Jamaica that we thought would, it is going to be such an amazing celebration! Thanks and I will be back to posting next week. I also look forward to sharing our invites with you as well as some of the other weddings I have been working on. xoxo Erica

Stevie Nicks Wild Heart

I had to share this vintage Stevie Nicks video with all of you. Since Patrick sent it to me earlier this week, I have probably watched it over 30 times. I love it. How amazing to have been in her dressing room during this, can you imagine being her makeup artist? I love how the makeup artist is trying to put on her eyeliner and just gives up and takes in the moment. Such brilliance and talent...

Wedding Wallpaper

Last summer, designer Crystal Barlow created some really beautiful and personal wallpaper for her mother's wedding reception. The reception took place in a small bar in Minnesota and to help personalize the setting, she printed out large panels of custom graphics with old family photos and transformed the space into a personal and more celebratory place.

Vintage Cake Toppers

Through all of this wedding planning, one thing I never thought I would be so obsessed with is cake toppers. There sure is a wide variety of styles out there, some crazy, some just plain weird and then my favorites, ones that are beautifully hand crafted with oodles of creativity. I am not so much a fan of the realistic ones, but do see the charm in them as well. Some how I came across this site and it has a wide variety of vintage cake toppers. I picked out some of my favorites above, they don't really fit into our theme, but I'm sure would get a chuckle out of our wedding guests. The top left one is my favorite.

Via Letter

A friend recently showed me the site, Via Letter and I happen to think it is one of the most brilliant ideas ever. I love to receive letters in the mail but actual 3-dimensional letters take it to another level. The site is really easy to navigate, you pick out your letters, font and packaging and then it is sent off to a very lucky person. The letters range from $3 - $5, a bit pricey for a long word or sentence and that doesn't include shipping (from the UK), but every now and again it's good to splurge on a witty and fun gift idea!

Jayson Home & Garden

I love these floral arrangements from Jayson Home and Garden, all so very sweet, simple, fresh and colorful. Any floral arrangement in a fish bowl gets me excited, especially with yellow orchids blossoming out of it. How sweet are the purple vanda orchids ?

Jenny Ebert Photography

These photos from Jenny Ebert are gorgeous, making me more and more excited for our upcoming wedding in Jamaica. All such great little ways to make a wedding more personal. The framed family photos are always a nice touch at any wedding and I love the towels with the thank you notes, so sweet. Also be sure to check out Perfect Bound, as she has posted some of Jenny's lovely photos as well.

Super Sweet Invites!

I absolutely love these invites found via Ape Do Good, designed by graphic designer Adam Brodsley. A really fun and fresh take on wedding invites. I love the variation on a theme with the different flowers in the background. Really inspiring.

Mrs. John L. Strong

One of my favorite stationery brands, Mrs. John L. Strong, has some really great gifts sets, perfect for a bridal party. The packaging on all of their gift sets makes what is inside even more exciting. I love the little tablets in the Wit Box, fitting for someone that has too many witty ideas and thoughts to go forgotten. As for the sets with stationery and candles, how could you go wrong?

Christian Oth

The top image has to be one of the most beautiful wedding photographs of a bride I have ever seen. She has such an ethereal grace walking up the steps of the New York Public Library and the twinkle effect of the candles scattered throughout looks like something out of a fairy tale.
